About Dinah Rainey
I have been a licensed attorney for more than 30 years, so I understand that divorce is not just a legal matter; it’s also about the emotional, logistical, financial, and personal aspects that come with it. During my over 15 years of practicing family law as an attorney, I often served as both an attorney and coach for my clients. In addition to providing legal advice and representation, I assisted them in managing their emotions, making informed decisions, and preparing for post-divorce life.
As a family law attorney, I represented clients in cases involving divorce, spousal and child support, child custody and visitation, parental rights, adoptions, guardianships, and domestic violence.
I am a registered mediator with the State of Georgia and have assisted many couples in resolving legal disputes. My training and experience as a mediator have equipped me with invaluable conflict-resolution skills. I understand the importance of effective communication and negotiation in divorce proceedings.
As a Guardian Ad Litem, I investigated high-conflict child custody cases and made custody recommendations to a family law judge based on the best interest of the children. Serving as an attorney and Guardian Ad Litem has given me a unique perspective on the best interest of children in divorce cases.
I served on active duty in the Army for 20 years. I was also a military spouse of an active-duty Soldier who deployed to a combat zone during our marriage. I have a deep understanding of the challenges faced by military families, making me well-suited to support my military divorce clients.
I’m a proud mother of two amazing adult children with special needs. I understand the intricacies of managing financial, medical, therapy, and school needs, and I’m here to provide guidance and support to mothers facing similar situations during this sensitive time.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Southern University and A&M College, a master’s degree in Human Resources Management from Golden Gate University, and a law degree from the University of California-Berkeley School of Law. I am licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia.
I’ve transitioned into a dedicated role as a women’s divorce coach and am a Certified Divorce Coach® and a Certified Divorce Specialist®. I understand that the divorce process is a deeply emotional and life-altering journey, and my focus is on providing you with the support and guidance you need to navigate it successfully.
